With the increase of the bear population in the Cantabrian Mountains cases of encounters with troubled bears (mostly orphaned cubs) have been increased in recent years.
In the case of detecting a bear cub that is alone or spotting an injured bear the first step to take is to contact 112 or the emergency services of the corresponding autonomous community or area.
